Executive Committee
This committee is comprised of the affiliate officers, which include the President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Construction Coordinator. This committee focuses on the day-to-day decision making and oversees the finance and day-to-day functions of the affiliate. The Executive Director and Staff report to and take direction from the Executive Committee.

Building Committee - Bill Bradford, Chairperson
This committee is comprised of the Vice President, Construction Coordinator, Assistant Construction Coordinator and any interested committee members and carries out everything needed for new home builds, rehabilitation, and repairs. Consider this an occasion to meet new people while strengthening your community by building safe, affordable housing while improving people's lives, working alongside future Habitat homeowners, learning different skills, and sharing your skills. In fact, there are numerous benefits when it comes to volunteering. You don't need any experience to work on one of our builds. Bring your friends, family, co-workers and neighbors, the more, the merrier!

Finance and Compliance Committee - Allen Schirmer, Chairperson
This committee oversees the reporting of the finances of the affiliate. The committee works with the accountant, reviews tax filings, prepares homeowner mortgage statements, and advises the Executive Director and administrative staff on all HFHI compliance requirements. The members of the Finance and Administration and Compliance Committee are responsible reporting the financial well-being of the organization and maintaining chapter compliance with Habitat for Humanity International. This committee is chaired by the Treasurer and made up of Board Members.

Volunteer, Community and Faith Relations Committee: Patrick Lane, Chairperson
Establishes and maintains strong relationships with the community, volunteers, and local congregations to support our projects and promote our mission of building safe and affordable housing available in our community. Works directly with local organizations and congregations to enlists their support for projects and promote Culpeper Habitat for Humanity’s mission

Events and Fundraising Committee: Vacant
Make Habitat's mission possible! We need your help raising funds through ideas development, event planning and building relationships within our community. You could help implement unique ideas that support our mission and raise funds to continue our mission and build communities. Are you interested helping us expand our outreach to raise funds critical to our mission to build safe and affordable housing in our community? We could really use your expertise in nonprofit fundraising, nonprofit development, marketing, or grant writing to expand our funding opportunities.

Family Partnership Committee: Vacant
The Family Partnership Committee works directly with families to ensure successful homeownership! It keeps in touch with current and prospective homeowner families. The committee works to provide a mutual support system to facilitate the transition to home ownership, including educational opportunities in home ownership and maintenance, family finance and community resources. This is our most challenging and rewarding committee. Many of our committee members maintain close family-like relationships with their partners throughout their entire experience as Habitat homeowners.

Family Selection Committee: Vacant
Help us find the next homeowner family! Activities include recruiting prospective families, screening applications, interviewing applicants and their references, visiting their current home and recommending applicants for approval. Are you interested in helping us recruit prospective families, conduct homebuyer information sessions, screen applications, interview applicants, and assess their readiness to partner with us? We are also seeking help with providing homeowner and financial education to our homebuyers.

Real Estate Committee: Vacant
The Real Estate Committee has the responsibility for locating, evaluating and recommending property purchases. The committee works in close cooperation with the Building Committee to ensure the suitability of property prior to acquisition. Experience with land acquisition is helpful but not required. We could use the help of a real estate professional, banker, mortgage professional, real estate attorney, or developer to assist us in our real estate acquisitions, transactions, and mortgage information on an as needed basis.
