Program Steps & Acknowledgement

NEXT ORIENTATION MEETING has not been scheduled but we are accepting interest forms

The process for Family Selection is a lengthy process consisting of the following steps

  1. Download and complete checklist and bring to orientation class
  2. Attend an Orientation Class
  3. Completed USDA Preapproval Letter
  4. Completion certificate for the VHDA First Time Buyers Program
  5. Completion of 8 hours of community service for each adult applicant
  6. Application and accompanying documents returned to Culpeper County Habitat
  7. Application review/Verification of documents
  8. Credit report/Criminal check
  9. Interview and Home visit
  10. Decision by Board of Directors

WE ARE ACCEPTING INTEREST FORMS NOW AND WILL NOTIFY YOU OF THE NEXT ORIENTATION MEETING

Includes house build on Aspen Street and smaller projects fixing local houses.
