Our next homebuyer, Elizabeth is a single mother to 5 children, Jordan (15), Noah (9), Zachariah (6), Asher (5), and Eli (2). They are currently living in a 1000 Sq ft home that is above their budget but were homeless for a couple weeks and just needed a place to call their own. Elizabeth is finished college in May while trying to home school 3 of the boys. Covid has played a huge part in the new family dynamic but they are all doing the best they can to make things work.
Elizabeth lost her mother when she was 14 which has contributed to lifelong anxiety as well as depression which having a stable living situation of her own would help tremendously. They are living on a limited income with her older two children's fathers passing away as well as getting away from an extremely toxic marriage. She has spent the last 3 years focusing on her mental health as well as raising her children to be the best they can be to be able to have a better future.
Having this Habitat for Humanity house built is such a huge blessing for this family as they would not had the opportunity to have a place of their own if it wasn’t for this organization and the community. They are nothing but grateful!
